Mike Ditka....

...once famously quipped that "...the past is for cowards and losers."

This is his restaurant in Oak Brook Terrace.

See that "XX" where an apostrophe should be?

I guess marketing the past is for....whom exactly?

Coach?

Most overrated sports figure in Chicago EVER.  .500 in home playoff games.  You know, the games you get because you had BETTER record than the other team?   One Super Bowl win.  1-2 in NFC Championships.  Two, count them TWO, of the last 3 years he coached his teams went 5-11.  Back to back losses in the playoffs in 86 and 87 to the Washington Redskins.  In the first game.  He humiliated people, bullied them, griped at others for cashing in on their success, then flaunted his own "35 million reasons" why he was better than others.

And said the past is for losers.

Meanwhile, his restaurant has a double XX as an apostrophe.  What was that Super Bowl the Bears won again?

Oh Yeah.  Super Bowl XX.

Guess we know where Ditka ranks himself.
